True Light M.B. Church Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Welcome Home May 8, 2021

True Light M.B. Church Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Update as of May 8, 2021
Let’s take another step forward.  The COVID virus is releasing its grip on our lives, yet we cannot consider this crisis over while moving forward. Our number one priority is to do everything humanly possible to keep you safe while ministering at True Light Baptist Church.  Health organizations are updating and modifying their guidance almost daily.  With much prayer and consideration of health care guidance, I believe the risk of contracting COVID-19 is going down.
Therefore, effective immediately, we are updating our COVID-19 protocols to move forward from the pandemic.  The updated protocols are designed to impact our behavior as a member and update our facility safeguards designed to help mitigate transmission. With these modifications, we invite members to return to in-person worship services on Sunday, May 8, 2021.  Below you will find a listing of the updated protocols that will remain in effect until further notice.  The church will be strictly enforcing these procedures, so please review them carefully.
Vaccination:
We encourage everyone 65 years of age or older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before attending in-person worship services (full vaccination is considered two-weeks after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or two-weeks after a single-dose vaccine).  Anyone 16 or older with high-risk medical conditions should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before attending in-person worship services (two-weeks after completing vaccination).
Healthy Behavior:
  1. ALL services will be limited to 60 to 75 minutes (in length).
  2. Temperature check conducted before ALL persons entering the church sanctuary or fellowship hall.
  3. ALL members are to practice social distancing (6 feet apart) and wear a mask (well fitted) while on the church grounds.
  4. Members and friends are discouraged from greeting others with physical contact (for example, handshakes).
  5. No funerals, weddings, programs, with limited special gathers outside of worship until further notice. (All gathering must be approved by Pastoral leadership)
  6. Virtual Communion will remain an option.
  7. No walking for worship-in-giving.
  8. Singing is limited to solo(s) or praise teams.
  9. Members and friends are discouraged from sharing items that are difficult to clean, sanitize, or disinfect.
Facility Safeguards:
  1. Limit all facility capacity to 35% or less (Sanctuary – 70; Fellowship Hall – 35)
  2. Continue virtual worship services for Sunday School, small group classes, and bible studies.
  3. Limited in-person classes in Fellowship Hall; members must sit six-feet apart unless you live together.
  4. Maintain reserved seating in the church sanctuary.
  5. Sanitize all touchable services after each in-person gathering (maintain documentation)
  6. Change air/heat system filters every three-months.
  7. Ensure ventilation systems operate properly and increase circulation of outdoor air as much as possible.
  8. Maintain adequate supplies of the following: tissue, sanitizer, mask, gloves for usher ministry, and a way to dry hands (e.g., paper towels).
  9. Restrooms are limited to one person at a time.
  10. All facilities are to be cleaned and disinfected weekly, particularly high-touch surfaces such as faucets, toilets, stall doors, doorknobs, countertops, diaper changing tables, and light switches (maintain documentation).
Note: Small gatherings are informal in nature and may occur with family and friends you regularly socialize with, often at someone’s residence.

If you have questions, feel free to contact any member of the Leadership Team.
One in Jesus,
