"The True Light Missionary Baptist Church is a growing body of believers located in the heart of downtown Jackson, Mississippi nestled in the Midtown Community. We are a congregation of God-fearing people, serving to make a Christ-like impact on our world “One in Jesus.” This 84-year-old ministry is progressive yet keenly focused on the Word of God. We believe in the overarching priority of love and display this belief through over 20 areas of ministry, all designed to engage some aspect of every believer.
We are community-oriented through our Girl Scout, Outreach, and Layman ministries. The music ministry engages a contemporary yet traditional message with glorifying God as its central theme. We believe in the power of prayer and conduct weekly prayer services via the Light Line (see Homepage for details).
This website is an extension of our outreach ministries designed to carry the gospel to the world in accordance with Matthew 28:19-20. It is our goal to share via this ministry tool who we are, what is taking place within our ministry, and how you might join in with us as we serve God collectively. This site offers an opportunity for each visitor to hear our Pastor’s powerful preaching and teaching, read devotional messages, give in accordance with the Word of God, and leave prayer requests.
It is our prayer, after visiting our website, you will be inspired to join us in Worship and if led by the Holy Spirit, become a part of building the kingdom of God at "The Light."
